My first novel is The Hurricane Falls In Love, about the wild adventures of a misfit who is the world's greatest unathletic athlete who falls in love with a charismatic, smart-ass cowgirl. A funny, romantic, and dramatic journey.
A humorous love story about a wisecracking cowgirl and a major league baseball player who couldn't hit, couldn't catch, or steal bases, but was the most feared relief pitcher in baseball, known as 'The Hurricane.' Fans loved him, but his crazy stunts and wild press conferences put him at odds with coaches and players.
Kathy learned to ride a horse before she could talk. She took a year off from college to run her grandfather's ranch when he was injured. Growing up in Chicago, Johnny couldn't even find the brakes on a horse. When he was rescued out of a snowbank by a beguiling, strong-willed Colorado rancher, everything changed for both of them.
Johnny may be a superstar on the pitcher's mound, but he fell in love and out of place with an intelligent, smart-ass cowgirl who could out-ride, out-rope, and out-work this city boy. Funny how life is, at first, he believed his destiny was tennis, then baseball. It turns out, his true destiny was something greater.

My second fiction work is Buddy's Guardian Angel, which was as much fun to write as the first book. As I neared completion, I was concerned that I did not have an ending. As I wrote, it suddenly hit me, the perfect end! So unexpected, it totally surprised me. No wonder I love this book.
Buddy was a kind and gentle young man but challenged. When his world was turned upside down, God sent him a guardian angel for his safety and protection. Not just any angel, although it was his first assignment as a Guardian. For a millennium, Gabor was the Angel of Death. A straightforward, no-nonsense angel who excelled in his work. The Lord knew it was time for a change and assigned Gabor as Buddy's guardian angel. Rough around the edges, Gabor soon learns that as much as Buddy needed him, he needed Buddy even more.

After experiencing another uninspired and predictable story, I said to myself, "I could write a better story than that." I took the challenge to heart. None of my previous professional writing experience prepared me for the sheer fun and how exhilarating creative writing is. Creating drama and humor and developing characters into an entertaining story was pure enjoyment.
